§ 01 — What it does
For the student
Review, then rebuild
The three student pages form a sequence. Review: upload a resume as PDF, Word or text and get strengths, ranked suggestions from the department’s comment library, before-and-after bullet rewrites, and the specific questions a rewrite will need answered. Tick the suggestions you want acted on. Projects: pick one of seventeen DAIS course projects, describe what you personally did, and get bullets that only claim your own work, plus the interview questions a recruiter would ask; queue the ones you like.
Rewrite: the resume comes back in the DAIS template using the suggestions you kept, the projects you queued, your answers and notes, tailored to a posting if you add one. Choose a coached draft, template-complete with bracketed prompts wherever you can add a number, date or link, or a clean draft that only brackets what is missing. Compare before and after, then download a formatted Word document. Job fit stands alone: paste a posting for an honest gap analysis.
For the instructor, and for privacy
A human stays in the loop
Instructor mode is the department’s workflow, not a replacement for it: the AI pre-flags issues from the shared comment library, the instructor toggles what applies and edits the closing note, and a ready-to-send feedback letter comes out in the established format. The rubric and the project library are plain text files the instructor edits directly. Nothing reaches a student unreviewed.
Files are parsed in the browser, so the document itself never leaves the student’s machine, and the server holds no database and stores nothing. Reviews can hide the name and contact details before anything is sent. The rewrite goes further: identity is swapped for placeholders before the call and restored in the finished draft, so the model never sees who the resume belongs to. It runs on a department key unlocked by a class access code, or on a student’s own key.
